Employment lawyers
Employment law is most people's doorway into a law firm: a dismissal, a payroll that does not add up or a serious workplace conflict. Almost everything runs on short deadlines that start the same day.
Deadlines rule
Claiming against a dismissal has a very short window of working days from notification: contact the lawyer the day the letter arrives, not once the anger cools.
Free routes exist
Unions advise members and some situations have free services; a private employment lawyer often offers a brief first phone assessment before deciding whether the case is worth taking.
How fees work
In employment claims it is common to agree fees conditional on results or a fixed amount per stage. Get in writing what the quote includes: filing, hearing and appeal are different stages.
